Fire door inspections
Fire Door Inspections (FDI)
Fire doors are crucial in preventing the spread of fire from one part of a building to another, quite often we find fire doors although fitted correctly are often non-compliant. If you are having fire doors fitted it is recommended that you have a certified fire door installer to fit them for you, using the correct fire rated furniture and seals.
Fire door inspections are intended to find any issues and document them on a report that outlines the key areas that need attention, sometimes a door is deemed to be compromised or dead, if there are holes to the core, missing seals or non fire rated furniture. They are not a pass or fail inspection, instead we determine whether the door is compliant.
